How to wear a veil and tiara

A veil and a tiara have become one of the most essential wedding accessories. The bridal veil offers modesty to the bride, while tiara gives a glamorous look to the bride. You should select the veil and tiara very carefully that should match to your wedding gown and wedding theme. Once you have chosen the veil and tiara, you must be thinking about how to wear a veil and tiara.

How to wear a veil and tiara is not a big problem at all. Once, you understand the technique, you can easily do it within a short time. Many wedding veils come with attached comb. You may start with holding the comb upside down, with the concave side upward. Both the layers of tulle are pulled backward. The blusher layer is at the top. Now, rotate the comb forward, keep the concave side of the comb downward, and slide it into the hair.

Once you have fixed the veil in the hair, then it is the time to place the tiara. Slide the tiara on at 45-degree angle. Adjust the tiara in such a way that there will be no gap between the veil and the tiara. You can gently bend the tiara band in order to fit the shape of your head. If the tiara has thin metal fingers, you can also adjust them for more secure and comfortable fit. Remember that the combs do not bend; only the tiara or headpiece will bend. You may also secure the tiara using the bobby pins through the pin loops to hold the tiara at proper place. Now, cover the ends of exposed bands with hair.

If you are wearing the veil and wearing your hair down, slant the tiara in a proper way for the best effect. Do not perch it on the top of your head, as it will not give a bride’s look. If you are wearing the veil at the top of the head, then it should be connected to the base of the tiara. You can also sew the veil onto the tiara using the invisible threads. Getting this information, you may not find it difficult how to wear a veil and tiara.

A tiara is a wedding accessory that makes the bride appears like a princess. She can adore herself and feel great by wearing a beautiful tiara on her wedding day. Tiara is sometimes, difficult to shop for. It is not an accessory of daily use like the necklaces, bracelets or shoes.

You get the wedding tiaras in different shapes and designs. They are accented by using pearls, rhinestones, and precious stones on them. It is always a better idea to try upon many tiaras on you, before you make a final choice and see what shape and type suits your face the best.

Usually, girls who are short and slim look better in tiaras that are dainty and ranges in height up to 1.5-”. Tall and curvy girls go well with the large and bold tiaras that range in size between 3-3 ½”. Wearing the tiara is not a difficult job as most of them are malleable ones. You can adjust the base to get a comfortable fit.

Wearing it at the front or back of the head is again a matter of choice and it depends to a large extent upon the hair stylist. Your stylist can help you a lot when in comes to wearing your tiara.

If your tiara is bold, then you should select a simple necklace and the earrings can be just small tops. This is to ensure the appropriate focal points of your dress. If the necklace is quite elaborate, than you can use a flower or a small comb rather than a tiara to keep the right balance.

The style of your wedding gown is a very important factor while choosing wedding tiaras. Your tiara should be complementary to the wedding gown. Beads, pearls, crystals, colors and patterns that are used in your gown should be repeated in your tiara so that it should give a flattering look. If your gown has embroidered, elaborated patterns, then you should select the tiara with similar detailing. More streamlined tiara is suitable for the gown with clean lines. Rhinestone or crystal tiaras without ornamental details can be suitable for any kind of wedding dress. If you are wearing an ivory or cream colored gown, then you may select the pearl tiara. A vintage tiara is suitable for your traditional gown, while a tiara with more modern design looks better with the contemporary wedding gowns.
