Wearing a wedding veil on the day of your wedding is one of the oldest traditions. Today, wearing a veil is not a compulsory option, but it entirely depends on the bride, if she wishes to wear it or not. Wearing a veil offers an elaborate wedding look to the bride. How to choose a wedding veil depends upon personal tastes and preferences as well as the wedding dress that the bride will be wearing on the day of her wedding.

If your wedding gown is very ornate with intricate beading, embroidery or ruffles, then it is better to keep the veils as simple as you can. This is so because contrasting gives the best effect. If at all you want to decorate your veil, you can add a simple trim of pearls or a lace at its edges. On the other hand, if your wedding gown is quite simple and classic, where the focus is mostly on the cuts instead of any ornamental details, then you have to make a wise selection of the veils. Then your veil should be highly an accented piece decorated with rhinestones or tiaras to compliment your wedding dress.

Always select a wedding veil that you will be comfortable in and that will allow you to remove a part of it after the ceremony. You should be able to move around comfortably after wearing the veil. Try it before you purchase and wear it on the Big Day. You should be very convenient in it.
