Wedding veils shapes cuts and styles
Today, you can have a wide choice for wedding veils, as they are available in various cuts, shapes, length and tiers. The veils can be considered as one of the most essential accessories which is considered as a symbol of modesty. Today, most brides prefer to wear the veils as it can offer a complete wedding look. You can select from various attractive wedding veil shapes, cuts and styles.
A tiered veil has more than a single layer such as double, triple and four tier veils. A center-gathered tier-wedding veil is somewhat flat as there is bit gathering at the headpiece or a comb. It is generally cut from the circular piece of fabric, which is folded over to create a tier veil. The fold having the edges at the bottom of the fold creates each veil side. Some brides prefer to fold the upper tier forward to create a blusher look.
Standard cut top-gathered veils offer a traditional look and feel. It is quite popular due to its versatility. This tiered veil is decorated with beautiful edging and embellishments. It has ‘U’ shaped, half-circle cut. This shape of the veil enables the veil’s edge to fall around your face. When it is tiered, the upper layer acts as a blusher. If the veil is cathedral, waltz or chapel length, then the longest layer can be made detachable enabling you to remove after the ceremony.
The standard wedding veils are available in wide variations to offer a unique effect. The fountain veils are ‘A’ shaped and widening veils. The teardrop veil is narrow at the headpiece and flares out. Angel-cut is wide at the start framing the face and tapering to the point. Cascading veil is another popular variation on the standard cut. The bouffant or pouf creates the beautiful gather veil and it is perfect for the semi-formal or informal weddings to add style to headpiece and hairstyle. Drop veil is ideal for the ‘zero pouf’ kind of bride. The petal veil is made from three or more oblong oval pieces attached to the back of headpiece.
