Choosing the color of the veils is a very important factor while setting up your wedding attire. The common veil color preferred is white. Even the white color has its own variation. But it is not at all necessary to match the veil perfectly to the color of the dress. There should be some color variation that allows viewing the details on your wedding gown as well the veil. Always wear a veil that is a bit lighter than that of the gown to give a good look.

White wedding veil- This veil is of bright white color without any tinting. It goes well with a white colored plain gown. It looks beautiful with a satin white gown, white lace, chiffon as well as cotton.

Diamond, off white or winter silk veil- These are the different names for the off white colored veil. It is a veil of a soft white color that ranges between pure white and ivory colors. This veil goes well with a white silky gown having slightly light or natural ivory shade.

Ivory veil- It is a yellow tinted off white hued veil. The color varies from light egg shell to a creamy color. The ivory veil is best suited with an ivory or a champagne gown having darker shades.

Colored and blushed veils- The above veils can be regarded as traditional veils, but you can also get veils of light blush tints like pink blush, peach blush, light gold or honey, rum pink and taupe and of darker colors like red and black.
