Types of wedding veils
A wedding veil is one of the most essential parts of the bridal attire. Selection of right veil is very important as it will make the bride to look more graceful attractive. When you go for shopping of bridal veils, you will come across a wide variety of veils. You can choose the veil according to your personal preference from many different types of wedding veils.
There are various types of wedding veils such as blusher veil, fly-away veil, birdcage veil, elbow-length veil, fingertip veil, ballet length veil, chapel length veil, semi-cathedral veil and cathedral veil. Blusher veil is a short veil which is worn over bride’s face. It is generally 24 to 26 inches in length and falls just below the collarbone but above the bust. While taking measurements for the veil, the hairstyle of the bride should always be considered. This type of veil signifies demonstrate a bride’s modesty and innocence; hence it is a favorite choice for most first-time brides.
Fly-away veil is also among the popular types of wedding veils. This multi-layered veil just meets the shoulders. This less formal bridal veil can be worn with a less formal gown. Another type of wedding veil, birdcage veil is more commonly suitable for the older brides and it extends over the chin. This type of bridal veil is perfect for dinner suits or cocktail dresses that are worn at civil ceremonies.
As the name suggests, elbow-length veil extends to the elbow. It may be single or multi-layered. Fingertip veil is more commonly worn as it may go very well with any bridal gown. This type of veil extends down to the fingertips and can be worn through wedding ceremony and reception also. The chapel length veil is suitable for the gown having a chapel length train. It extends about 6-12 inches beyond the train of the gown.
